Terms of Use
Last updated: November 4, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the independent developer in the Czech Republic who makes Lunalog and is named as the seller on its App Store page (“we”, “us”, “our”). They apply to the Lunalog app for iPhone and the online services behind it (“Lunalog”).
By creating an account or using Lunalog, you agree to these Terms. You accept them, and the Privacy Policy, on the sign-in screen. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Lunalog.
The short version
- You must be 18 or older to use Lunalog.
- Lunalog helps you track food and weight. It isn’t medical advice, and AI estimates can be wrong.
- Some features need a Lunalog Pro subscription, which you buy and manage through the App Store. It renews automatically until you cancel.
- Your data belongs to you. We use it only to run Lunalog for you.
- Use Lunalog and its AI respectfully and lawfully.
- Nothing in these Terms takes away your rights as a consumer.
Who can use Lunalog
- You must be at least 18 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age of majority.
- You must be legally able to enter into this agreement.
Your account
- You sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a one-time code sent to your email. Apple’s and Google’s terms also apply when you sign in with them.
- Each account is for one person. Don’t share, sell or transfer your account.
- Keep your iPhone and your Apple, Google or email account secure. You’re responsible for what happens in your Lunalog account, unless it isn’t your fault (for example, a security failure on our side).
- Keep your personal information accurate: your calorie budget and estimates depend on it.
- Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
What Lunalog does
Lunalog helps you log meals by photo, text, voice or manually, estimates their nutrition, tracks your weight and progress photos, helps you follow a calorie plan, and lets you chat with Luna, an AI assistant. Your data syncs through our servers, so you need an internet connection for syncing, AI features and purchases. We keep improving Lunalog, so features may change over time (see “Changes to Lunalog”).
Health and safety notice
- Lunalog is a general wellness tool. It isn’t a medical device and doesn’t diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.
- Calorie budgets, maintenance estimates, nutrition values and Luna’s replies are estimates. They aren’t medical, nutritional or dietary advice and don’t replace a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified professional.
- Talk to a doctor before starting a diet or weight plan, especially if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, have or have had an eating disorder, or have a medical condition (such as diabetes, heart or kidney disease) or take medication that affects your weight, appetite or nutrition. In these situations, use Lunalog only with professional guidance.
- If tracking food or weight makes you anxious, or you notice signs of disordered eating, please take a break and reach out to a healthcare professional or a local support service.
- Don’t rely on Lunalog to manage allergies or intolerances. Always check ingredient labels.
- In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU).
AI features and Luna
- Lunalog uses artificial intelligence to estimate nutrition from photos, text and voice, to suggest edits, and to power Luna. Luna is an AI, not a human and not a health professional.
- AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Portion sizes, hidden ingredients, cooking methods and photo quality all affect estimates. Check estimates before you rely on them; you can edit any meal.
- Don’t use AI output as the only basis for health decisions.
- AI features send what you share with Luna, plus the context she needs, to our AI providers, Anthropic and Inworld, as described in our Privacy Policy. The app asks for your permission before anything is sent, and you can withdraw that permission at any time by emailing support@lunalogapp.com. They require an active Lunalog Pro subscription.
- To keep Lunalog fair and affordable, AI features have usage limits, such as a maximum number of requests per hour, day or week. Normal personal use stays well within them.
- If Luna says something offensive, harmful or wrong, email support@lunalogapp.com. A person reviews every report.
Subscriptions, free trials and billing
- What’s included. Some features, currently logging new meals, the AI features and writing to in-app Support, require an active Lunalog Pro subscription. The app shows which features are included. Without a subscription you can still sign in, view, edit, export and delete your existing data, report Luna’s replies, and email us at support@lunalogapp.com.
- Plans and prices. Lunalog Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. The plans, price, billing period and any free trial or introductory offer are shown in the app and in the App Store before you buy. Prices may differ by country and include applicable taxes where required.
- Payment. Your purchase is made through Apple and charged to your Apple Account when you confirm it, or when a free trial ends. We never see your payment details.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, for the same period and at the then-current price, unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trials and introductory offers. You won’t be charged during a free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, your paid subscription starts automatically at the regular price. Apple decides who is eligible for trials and offers. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Managing and cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings; Lunalog links to them from Profile. Deleting the app or your Lunalog account doesn’t cancel your subscription.
- Price changes. If the price of your subscription changes, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your agreement. If you don’t want to pay the new price, you can cancel before it applies.
- Your subscription and your account. Your subscription is linked to the Lunalog account you were signed in to when you bought it. Restoring purchases while signed in to a different Lunalog account may move the subscription to that account.
- When a subscription ends. You keep access to your existing data, but paid features stop working until you subscribe again.
Refunds and your right of withdrawal
- You buy Lunalog Pro through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. We can’t issue refunds directly. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If you’re a consumer in the EU, you may have a legal right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. You exercise it through Apple under its terms, which also explain how the right applies once you’ve started using the subscription.
- Nothing in this section limits your rights under consumer protection law.
Apple
- Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”) applies to your license to use the app, and these Terms apply in addition to it. If the two conflict about your license to use the app, the Standard EULA takes precedence.
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Lunalog or its content, for maintenance or support, or for handling claims about it (such as product liability, consumer protection or intellectual property claims), except as its own terms provide.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
- Your use of the App Store is also governed by Apple’s own terms.
Acceptable use
When you use Lunalog, you agree not to:
- break the law or use Lunalog to harm anyone
- upload, send or create content that is illegal, hateful, harassing or threatening, that sexualizes minors, or that violates someone else’s privacy, intellectual property or other rights
- upload photos of other people without their permission
- try to make Luna produce harmful, illegal or abusive content, get around its safety measures, or extract our instructions to it (for example, by “jailbreaking” or prompt injection)
- use the AI features for anything other than your own nutrition and wellness tracking, for example by sending automated or bulk requests or reselling AI output
- get around subscription checks, usage limits or other technical restrictions
- access Lunalog with bots, scrapers or other automated means, or interfere with, overload or try to break into our systems
- copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it
- pretend to be someone else or use another person’s account
- abuse, harass or threaten us through Support
If you break these rules, we may remove content, limit features (for example, stop you from contacting Support), or suspend or close your account (see “Ending your use of Lunalog”).
Content moderation and reports
- Your content is private to your account. We don’t routinely review it. Automated safeguards, such as file checks, usage limits and our AI provider’s safety systems, help prevent misuse.
- If we receive a report or a legal order about illegal content or misuse, a person reviews it. If we restrict your content or account, we’ll tell you why and how to challenge the decision, unless the law prevents us from doing so.
- You can report illegal content, problems with AI output or other concerns, and challenge our decisions, via Profile › Support or at support@lunalogapp.com. This is also our point of contact for authorities. You can write to us in English.
Your content
- You own the content you add to Lunalog: your logs, photos, messages and other data (“your content”).
- You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, copy, process, transmit and display your content only as needed to operate Lunalog for you: for example, to sync it, show it to you and send it to our service providers, such as our AI provider, as described in our Privacy Policy. The license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies kept for a limited time as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We don’t use your content for advertising, we don’t sell it, and we don’t use it to train AI models.
- You confirm that you have the right to add your content to Lunalog, including permission from anyone who appears in your photos.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without owing you anything.
Our content and your license to use Lunalog
- Lunalog, including the app, its design, Luna, the Drawings artwork, and our name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law.
- We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Lunalog for your own non-commercial purposes, in line with these Terms and Apple’s Standard EULA.
Drawings, gems and other rewards
- Drawings, gems, chests, streaks, streak freezes, streak repairs and similar rewards are part of the Lunalog experience. Some are given out at random, and we sometimes give them as gifts.
- They have no monetary value, can’t be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and aren’t your property.
- We may change how rewards work. They’re lost when you delete your account.
Changes to Lunalog
- We work to keep Lunalog running well and provide the updates needed to keep it working and secure. Sometimes an update is required before you can keep using the app.
- We may add, change or remove features to improve Lunalog, for legal or security reasons, or because a provider we rely on changes. If a change affects your use of a paid feature more than in a minor way, we’ll tell you in advance. You can then end your subscription free of charge within 30 days, and we’ll make sure you’re refunded for any prepaid period you don’t use.
- Lunalog may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or outages at our providers. We’ll try to keep interruptions short.
- If we ever discontinue Lunalog, we’ll tell you in the app at least 30 days in advance so you can export your data. We’ll also stop new renewals and make sure you’re refunded for any prepaid period we can no longer provide.
Ending your use of Lunalog
- You can stop using Lunalog at any time and delete your account in Profile › Data controls › Delete account, or by email (see the Privacy Policy). Remember to cancel your subscription separately in the App Store.
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if the law requires us to, or to protect other users, us or Lunalog. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll warn you first, give you a chance to fix the problem and let you export your data.
- Parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue after they end, such as “Our responsibility to you” and “Governing law and disputes”, continue to apply.
Our responsibility to you
- We provide Lunalog with reasonable care and skill. Because nutrition and AI estimates are approximate by nature, we can’t promise they’ll always be accurate, or that Lunalog will always be available or free of errors.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow it, including for harm to life, body or health, for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and your statutory rights as a consumer.
- Within those limits, we’re not responsible for losses that weren’t reasonably foreseeable when you started using Lunalog, for losses caused by your breach of these Terms or by decisions you make based on estimates you didn’t check, or for problems caused by events beyond our reasonable control or by services we don’t control (such as your device, your internet connection or Apple).
- We recommend exporting a backup of data that’s important to you from time to time.
Your rights as a consumer
If you use Lunalog as a consumer, you have legal rights that these Terms can’t limit, including the legal guarantee that digital content and services conform to the contract. If Lunalog doesn’t work as described, tell us via Profile › Support or at support@lunalogapp.com. We’ll fix it within a reasonable time, and where the law gives you further remedies, such as a price reduction or ending the contract, they apply.
Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by Czech law. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
- Please contact us first if you have a problem: most issues can be solved quickly.
- If you’re a consumer, you can also use out-of-court dispute resolution. In the Czech Republic this is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (adr.coi.cz).
- You can bring a claim in the Czech courts or, if you’re a consumer, in the courts of the country where you live. We can bring a claim against you as a consumer only in the courts of the country where you live.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when Lunalog or the law changes. We’ll show the new date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app at least 30 days before they apply. Changes don’t apply retroactively. If you don’t agree with the changes, you can stop using Lunalog and delete your account before they take effect. If you keep using Lunalog after that, the updated Terms apply.
Other terms
- These Terms, the Privacy Policy and Apple’s Standard EULA are the entire agreement between you and us about Lunalog.
- If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest stays in effect.
- If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
- We may transfer these Terms to someone who takes over Lunalog, as long as your rights aren’t reduced, and we’ll tell you. You may not transfer your account or these Terms.
- These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation and the versions differ, the English version applies, unless consumer law requires otherwise.
